ALLFLIGHT CARNIVAL CITY LOFT NEWS

Here we are a few days before we will start to train the entries for the summer race scheduled for 23 January 2010 from Gariep dam. The pigeons have been walking outside and relaxing on the grass in front of the lofts for the last two months on a daily basis and most of them have been flying up into the sky over Carnival City and even forming a kit on some occasions and making notes in their brains of the landmarks around the lofts. We have had the normal losses around the lofts as in the past as some take to the sky and wander off too far or gets picked up by a passing kit and follow their new friends home. We will be allocating the whole team with electronic rings in the next 2 weeks so that we can have a list up on our website www.allflite.co.za and that you can start to follow the results as the training progress. We have put up a new calendar with the preliminary dates and distances for the Hot Spots taking place in preparation for the final race. The calendar can be found on our website under the heading “Summer Race”. Please note as in the past these dates and distance are subject to weather conditions and it may vary at management discretion.

We had about a 40% growth from last year on entries and want to thank all of you who entrusted your valuable world class athletes of the sky into our hands to train. We will do our best to ensure that they are all ready come basketing for the final race end of January 2010. Regular updates on their progress as well as bits of news will be sent out or posted on the website. Please do not hesitate for one moment should you need any other info or if you have suggestions on how we can make your participation more enjoyable.
