Allflight Carnival City Loft

ALLFLIGHT CARNIVAL CITY LOFT NEWS 18 May 2009

Here we are at the beginning of the 2009 winter season, we finished one of the biggest if not the biggest jobs here at the lofts annually by putting on the last of the 950 odd electronic rings last week. All the paid pigeons still left in the loft after the first 3 weeks of road training have been allocated on the “One Loft Race Software” from Benzing, and has now received their electronic ring.

The first training flight on the website was on Friday 15 May, I will only post one result a week in the first few weeks of training as I do not like to open up all the birds at the same time on the training flights shorter than 120km, this means that the next result will only be on Friday 22 May, when we get to the Hot Spots and the longer training flights we will do a result on a Tuesday and then the Hot Spot or a long training flight on the Friday every week.

We have a big kit of over 950 pigeons still left which is the most ever we have had left this far in the training, the most losses usually occur before I reach the 50km mark. I realize that some fanciers are complaining about the high percentage of losses so early in the season, a good few pigeons has not been paid by their owners so you guys must realize that we will no longer be wasting our money by putting electronic rings on these pigeons or giving the breeder the pleasure of seeing his pigeons performances and for him to then decide which one or two he will pay before the final race this will be unfair to us and to you guys out there that has paid your entry fees.

To all the fanciers who still have 100% of their pigeons left and there is many of you congratulations, you have done very well, and it does not matter if you were one of the fanciers who send their birds right at the beginning in October 2008 like Martin Luyt from pigeonauction.co.za, Anton Brajevich and Andre Erwee or if you brought them in the middle like Gert van Rensburg, Dirk Norval and Piet Coetzee or if you waited right till the end after the closing date like Conway Lofts, Brandon Frazer or Boshoff Familie you are some of the fanciers who still have 100% left, but there are many more that still have all their entries left, well done, this is just to show that it really does not matter when you bring your pigeons if they are good enough they will make it as they all get the same treatment and a fair chance from day one when they arrive here at the lofts.

Please remember that all reserve pigeons must be paid before the first Hot Spot scheduled for 5 June 2009, the cost for your reserve pigeon is R300 and if you are not sure if you still have a reserve left or if you have money outstanding please give us a call.
