2008 Season ends for the FBHU Race Secretaries

On Saturday; 1st November 2008 all the Race Secretaries from unions within the Federated Board of Homing Unions gathered at the Paarl community hall for their last meeting with the current season coming to a close. Members don’t always appreciate the work done by these faithfuls week after week when they give of their time unselfishly, sometimes at the expense of their own families, make no mistake this is an ungrateful job that needs to get done. During the race meeting all results were finalized and the race program for 2009 proposed and adapted accordingly.

Present at the meeting was Oom Boegie, Oom Normie Jacobs, Andy Schmidt (three old timers and stalwarts of the Federated Board). Erasmus, Arthur Rhodes, Sammy October, M. Williams, Wannewick, Gillian, Dreyer, Ismail & Tito, K. Williams, G. Arendse, Wendt, Bollie Williams, Kariem Hardien and Yazeed Moerat. After the concluding of business all present was treated to a braai acknowledging their contribution toward our wonderful sport during the 2008 racing season.
